TT Global Director moderates conference at Georgetown University Law Center

img_0006On September 22, 2016 Transfotech’s Global Development Group Director Joyce Morin Utz moderated Georgetown University Law’s Institute of International Economic Law (IIEL) conference on Investment and Business Development in the Middle East. The event examined the legal considerations and successful strategies that are top-of-mind for those doing business in today’s Middle East. With the current global business interest in the region, the conference was a timely presentation to hear from experts ranging from World Bank officers and global financial experts, to US State Department officers and investment and global legal practitioners discussing the legal framework, foreign investment landscape, opportunities and operational considerations driving business and economic growth in the Middle East.

Georgetown Law is one of the world’s premier law schools with leading programs in several areas, including international, constitutional, tax and clinical law. IIEL is the focal point for the study of international economic law at Georgetown and is a thought leader in investment and financial regulation, tax, trade, business and monetary law. The Institute actively approaches these fields as interrelated and at times overlapping policy spheres that impact how law is devised, practiced and enforced.

Ms. Utz , a partner in Transfotech and Director of Transfotech’s Global Development Group, is a graduate of Georgetown University magna cum laude and the Georgetown University Law Center, obtaining her Juris Doctorate in 1992.
